Hezbollah says it has launched fresh strikes against Israeli targets inside the occupied Palestinian territories.
On Wednesday, the Lebanese Resistance movement announced it had launched a salvo of missiles at the Tzrifin military base near the Ben Gurion International Airport, south of Tel Aviv.
A rocket fired from Lebanon also fell inside the airport. The Israeli army confirmed that 10 rockets were fired from Lebanon toward central and northern occupied territories.
Israel: Hezbollah fired about 120 projectiles
The Israeli military said Hezbollah had fired about 120 projectiles across the border from Lebanon on Wednesday, AFP reported.
"Approximately 120 projectiles that were fired by the Hezbollah terrorist organization have crossed from Lebanon into Israel today," the military said after sirens sounded in northern and central Israel.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah also targeted a military installation in the Metulla settlement with a guided rocket. The direct hit resulted in deaths and injuries among soldiers who had been fortified inside the compound.

Casualties were also reported as the resistance fighters also struck a Merkava tank, which caught fire and was completely destroyed during the operation in the same area.
Hezbollah fighters also launched a salvo of rockets at a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Sasa, Kfar Sold and Kiryat Shmona settlements.
Moreover, the Lebanese Resistance group announced targeting the regime’s Ma’ale Golani barracks and Rawia base in occupied Golan Heights and an explosives factory in Hadera, south of Haifa.
Hezbollah has pledged to continue its retaliatory operations until Israel ceases its aggression on Lebanon and Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military carried out new attacks on Lebanon, leaving more civilians dead and injured.
Warplanes bombed a residential building in the town of Barja, south of the capital Beirut late on Tuesday. The attack left at least 20 people and a dozen others injured.
Airstrikes also hit the coastal town of Jiyeh, killing a person and injuring 20 others.
More than 3,500 people have been killed in Israeli bombardment of Lebanon since October 2023. Almost two-thirds of them have been killed since Israel intensified its air aggression on Lebanon six weeks ago.
