Iran anti-US rallies

The commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps says the US and Israel are moving toward collapse and annihilation. Major General Hossein Salami says the US and Israel won’t be able to save themselves from collapse in the face of the will of Muslim nations. Salami says Muslims will be deciding the fate of the West Asia region, and the US can no longer impose its hegemony on the Islamic world. The general made the comments during a ceremony to mark Iran’s National Day of Fight against Global Arrogance. He added that the US has employed every strategy and tool available to it, against Iran, and has always been defeated. Salami stressed that Iran won’t allow hegemonic powers like the US to trample upon its dignity.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

More civilians are killed in Gaza as the Israeli attacks across the blockaded Palestinian territory continue indiscriminately. In an early morning strike, Israeli warplanes targeted a house in Jabalia, northern Gaza, killing and injuring several Palestinians. In Beit Lahia, also in northern Gaza, a number of Israeli airstrikes left nearly a dozen Palestinians dead and several others injured. To the south, the Israeli drone strike on an area in Rafah, left fatalities. The Israeli aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip began in October last year. Since then, more than 43,300 Palestinians have been killed and over 102,000 others injured. Unrelenting Israeli air and artillery strikes have already pushed the blockaded territory to the brink. Lack of food, water and urgent medical supplies are also taking their toll on the Gaza population.

German police brutality

German police have brutally clamped down on pro-Palestinian demonstrators in the capital, Berlin. Thousands of protesters convened at a subway station to show solidarity with Palestinians and to condemn Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. Demonstrators were waving Palestinian flags and chanting anti-Israeli slogans when the police attacked and arrested some of the protesters. Anti-Israeli protests in several European countries, including Germany have repeatedly witnessed violent crackdown by the police. A few months ago, Amnesty International sharply criticized German police for using excessive force against protesters during a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Berlin.
