Hezbollah targets Israeli forces in multiple attacks, inflicts heavy casualties

The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has inflicted more casualties on intruding Israeli forces and carried out further retaliatory attacks on Israeli positions in the occupied territories.

In a series of statement released on Friday, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted Israeli troopers east of Aitaroun located in Bint Jbeil districts with rockets and artillery fire.

The Lebanese group also confirmed the targeting of Israeli troop gatherings in the Malkia (Malikiyah) settlement and on the outskirts of Marwahin with a barrage of rockets, resulting in multiple casualties.

The resistance fighters also targeted a gathering of the "Israeli" enemy forces on the eastern outskirts of al-Taybeh with a rocket barrage, it said.

Hezbollah also attacked a gathering of the Israel forces in the “Shoumera” barracks with a rocket barrage.

Israeli forces stationed at the Shomera base, the al-Baghdadi site. the Manara settlement and the Habushit barracks were also targeted.

Hezbollah says the attacks are in support of the Palestinian people and in defense of Lebanon.

On Thursday, Hezbollah said its fighters were engaged in “heavy clashes in the village of Aita al-Shaab” at close range. The resistance group said the Israeli military “has not been able to fully establish its control or completely occupy any village” in southern Lebanon.

In its most recent update on Thursday, the Israeli military says five of its soldiers were killed and 20 others injured in fighting in southern Lebanon. They were targeted by a long-range missile. The military said the soldiers “fell during combat in southern Lebanon” the previous day.

Hezbollah say more than 70 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 600 others wounded since the start of the Israeli ground invasion of southern Lebanon.

Israel continues its aggression against Lebanon, targeting everyone from journalists to health workers to peacekeepers.

Meanwhile, UN peacekeepers say Israeli soldiers once again opened fire on one of their observation posts in south Lebanon. Previous Israeli attacks on the peacekeepers had drawn worldwide condemnation.

Since late September, Israel has launched an intense air and ground onslaught against Lebanon after nearly a year of cross-border exchanges with Hezbollah over the war in Gaza.

The regime’s intensified aggression against Lebanon has seen it either attacking targets across the country without prior notice or issuing such notices minutes before launching its strikes.

At least 2,600 people, including 140 children and 270 women, have been killed and 11,862 others wounded in Lebanon as a result of the aggression so far.
