Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot have, in a phone conversation, discussed latest regional developments, including Israel's aggression against Lebanon.

The top Iranian diplomat stressed the need for an end to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, calling for the removal of obstacles created by the occupying regime to dispatch of international humanitarian aid to the refugees amid the dire situation in the Arab country.

He also warned against any new act of adventurism by the Israeli regime in the region, as Tel Aviv continues its brutal aggression against Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.

Israel has escalated its deadly attacks against Lebanon after launching a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip on October 7 last year.

The ongoing Israeli bombardment has left Lebanon and its citizens in a dire humanitarian situation.

The death toll from Israel’s ongoing onslaught on Lebanon since last year has surged to 2,350, the Lebanese health ministry said on Tuesday.

In another phone conversation, Araghchi also warned the secretary general of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, about the consequences of any possible unwise measures by the Israeli regime against Iran.

The Iranian top diplomat went on to say that the Israeli regime will face Iran's serious response if it carries out an attack against the Islamic Republic.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran, while making an all-out effort to safeguard regional peace and security, is fully prepared for a decisive and regret-inducing response to any adventurism by the Zionist regime," he said.

He underlined that the responsibility for the consequences of the spread of insecurity in the region will rest with the Israeli regime and its main supporter, the United States.

On October 1, Iran fired a barrage of ballistic missiles at the Zionist entity, in a retaliatory attack dubbed Operation True Promise II.

Iran has reiterated that the missile attack against Israel was a response to the regime’s brutal wars in Palestine and Lebanon and its assassination of senior leaders of the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance front and a commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

Iranian authorities have warned that any counterattack by Israel would face more destructive responses from Iran.
