A Hezbollah member of the Lebanese parliament says the resistance movement has “restored its command and field structures”, amid the ongoing war with the Israeli regime.

Ali Fayyad told al Jazeera on Monday that the upcoming days will see “more qualitative performance” by the resistance fighters.

He noted that Israel has run out of targets, and failed to achieve any field achievement in the past two weeks.

“The enemy has exhausted their bank of targets ... They are in a dilemma now and have failed to achieve any field achievement during the past 15 days,” the lawmaker said, noting that Hezbollah adopts a strategy of “attrition” against the Israeli army.

Fayyad also warned that any Israeli decision to launch a ground incursion in Lebanon will “inflict major losses on it.”

Regarding ceasefire efforts, the lawmaker said the movement separates the field confrontations from the diplomatic efforts, but stressed that the priority “is to put an end to the aggression and reach ceasefire.”

He noted that the strength of the resistance in confronting the aggression is “a fundamental pillar” for the government’s political stance.

Israel has been targeting Lebanon since October 2023, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding to the aggression with numerous retaliatory operations, including one with a hypersonic ballistic missile, targeting the occupied Palestinian territories.

Since late September, Israel has escalated its strikes against Hezbollah, killing its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and a number of its senior figures.

At least 2,464 people have been killed by Israeli fire, and 11,530 others wounded since the clashes began last year, according the health ministry.

The Lebanese resistance movement has vowed to keep up its operations against Israel as long as the Israeli regime continues its Gaza war, which has so far killed at least 42,603 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
