Hezbollah retaliatory operations 

The Hezbollah resistance movement continues drone and rocket attacks on Israeli targets in retaliation for the regime’s brutal aggression against Lebanon. Hezbollah said its latest rocket attack hit the Glilot base, belonging to the Israeli military intelligence Unit 8,200, in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. The group also launched a squadron of attack drones on Israel’s Yiftah barracks, hitting its targets precisely. In addition, Hezbollah targeted a gathering of the regime’s forces as well as the “100 Camp,” and the settlement of Kabri with rocket barrages. The movement also hit three major sites of Israeli forces with a large missile barrage. Hezbollah carried out three operations against two Israeli barracks and a military base in the occupied Syrian Golan with large rocket barrages. 

Onslaught on Gaza 

The United Nations warns that Israel’s incessant attacks on northern Gaza, combined with imposed restrictions and forced displacement of people are aimed at ending the presence of Palestinians there.The UN rights office described Israel’s ongoing attacks and the siege of northern Gaza as horrific. It added that life has become impossible for Palestinians trapped in northern Gaza, where many civilians are on the brink of famine due to lack of access to humanitarian aid. The UN rights office said Israeli forces have stripped Palestinian civilians of their belongings and destroyed homes and schools used as shelters. Meanwhile, the head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees confirmed that Israel is blocking humanitarian missions’ access to northern Gaza, preventing vital supplies, including medicine and food, from reaching those under siege. Philippe Lazzarini added that people attempting to flee are killed, and their bodies are left on the street. 

'US complicit in Israel crimes'

Iran has strongly condemned the US president’s remarks about being aware of how and when Israel intends to attack the Islamic Republic. The Iranian UN ambassador described Joe Biden’s statements as profoundly alarming and provocative. Amir Saeid Iravani made the remarks in a letter to the UN chief and the president of the Security Council. He said Biden’s statements indicate the United States’ tacit approval and explicit support for Israel’s unlawful military aggression against Iran. He added that the US bears full responsibility for any acts of aggression by Israel due to its role in instigating and inciting the regime in flagrant violation of international law and the UN Charter. Iravani called on the Security Council to unequivocally condemn such reckless provocations by the US and make Washington fulfill its obligations under international law. He noted that Israel’s atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon not only destabilize the entire region, but also pose a grave threat to international peace and security.
