Resilient resistance

Israel presses ahead with its air raids on Lebanese towns and villages, causing more deaths and destruction. Lebanon’s Health Ministry has said that at least seven people were killed and over 10 injured in new Israeli airstrikes targeting areas in and around the southern city of Sidon. The ministry says 60 civilians have been killed and nearly 170 others wounded in a matter of 24 hours. Israeli forces also struck areas near a UN peacekeeping position in Naqoura, injuring two peacekeepers. This marks the second attack on the UNIFIL headquarters in two days. The Lebanese army also confirmed two soldiers were killed and three injured when Israeli forces targeted a military center in Kafra. Israeli airstrikes, mainly on residential areas, have killed over 2,200 people and displaced one million since last October.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Unrelenting Israeli bombardment continues to take more Palestinian lives in Gaza more than one year into the genocide. In one of the attacks, at least three Palestinians were killed in the Israeli bombing of buildings in the al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of Gaza City. In Jabalia, which has been the focal point of Israeli attacks in the past several days, fatalities were reported following fresh Israeli bombing of several homes there. New Israeli strikes there left nearly a dozen people dead. Meanwhile, the Israeli artillery shelling has targeted several areas in the Bir al-Naja area north of the Strip where a child was killed in an attack. The Israeli aggression on Gaza began in October last year. Since then, nearly 42,200 Palestinians have been killed and over 98,000 others injured.

'Israeli war crimes'

Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations has strongly condemned the Israeli attack on an Iranian Red Crescent warehouse in Syria, calling it a clear violation of international humanitarian law. Amir Saeed Iravani in identical letters to the Security Council and the UN Secretary-General said the regime’s heinous attack on humanitarian aid is a horrific act against efforts aimed at saving human lives. The Iranian diplomat urged the Security Council to take immediate and decisive measures to prevent further violations by the Israeli regime. The Israeli strike on Iran's field hospital along with its medicine warehouse on Wednesday destroyed ambulances and all medical equipment inside the facility. The hospital was established to treat the displaced Lebanese on the Syria-Lebanon border.
