Yemeni armed forces and Iraqi anti-terror resistance groups have conducted a series of operations against Israeli-linked vessels, as well as targets in the occupied territories, amid Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, stated on Thursday night that the Yemeni military had targeted "American oil tanker OLYMPIC SPIRIT" in the Red Sea with 11 ballistic missiles and two combat drones.

He added that the vessel was directly hit, and sustained serious damage.

Saree noted that the operation was carried out with the participation of missile, air defense and naval units of the Yemeni army.

The second operation, he said, targeted Malta-flagged container ship St.John in the Indian Ocean, emphasizing that the vessel was struck with a cruise missile.

Saree said the ship had violated Yemen's ban on commercial vessels heading to ports in the Israeli-occupied territories.

He underlined that Yemen's armed forces will continue to enforce a naval blockade on ships heading to Israeli ports in any area within their range, and will not stop their pro-Palestine operations until the Tel Aviv regime stops its aggression on Gaza, completely lifts its siege on the coastal territory, and creases its devastating strikes on Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella anti-terrorism group representing various Iraqi resistance factions, announced early on Friday that it had conducted a new operation targeting an Israeli site in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement, the resistance group said it struck a "vital target" in the port city of Eilat using drones.

“In continuation of our approach to resisting the occupation, and in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the usurping entity against civilians, including children, women and the elderly, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, on Friday 11-10-2024, attacked a vital target in the occupied Umm al-Rashrash ‘Eilat,’ using drones,” the statement said.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq emphasized that it would continue its operations against strategic installations in the Israeli-occupied territories.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been launching attacks on Israeli targets ever since the occupying regime started the genocidal war on Gaza in early October last year.

The coalition has also been hitting American military bases in Iraq and neighboring Syria in retaliation for Washington’s support for the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
