Jewish MP warns Netanyahu of ‘new surprises’ if Israel attacks Iran

Representative of the Jewish community in the Iranian parliament Homayoun Sameh Yah Najafabadi

The representative of the Jewish community in the Iranian parliament has warned Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu against any “foolish act,” adding that any foolish behavior by the Zionist army will bring “new surprises” for Netanyahu.

“In the event of any foolishness by the Zionist regime’s army, Netanyahu should expect new surprises from Iran,” said Homayoun Sameh Yah Najafabadi on Thursday.

Sameh Yah also referenced a probable agreement between US President Joe Biden and Netanyahu regarding the Israeli regime’s response to Iran's retaliatory operation on October 1 and cautioned that any minor offensive by the Israeli regime would prompt a strong and regrettable response from Iran, urging American officials to take heed of the warning.

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), in coordination with the country’s armed forces, launched a barrage of 200 ballistic missiles targeting Israeli espionage and military bases around Tel Aviv on Tuesday.

Dubbed Operation True Promise II, it was a direct retaliation for Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the assassination of high-ranking resistance officials, including Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh and the IRGC military advisor to Lebanon, General Abbas Nilforoushan, last month.

Sameh Yah warned that an all-out war in West Asia could have repercussions far beyond the region.

“Global authorities must understand that if a full-scale war erupts in West Asia, its impact will not be confined to this region, and other parts of the world will also face the harmful consequences of this possible conflict,” he said.

The parliamentarian hailed Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israeli bases, saying "the Jewish community of Iran fully supports the honorable IRGC operation against Zionist regime bases.”

“According to estimates, dozens of missiles hit the Nevatim Airbase in the occupied territories, highlighting the extreme vulnerability of the regime's defense systems against Iran's missile power,” he noted.

Nevatim is a key Israeli military airbase, housing the US-made F-35 fighter jets.
