Israel-Lebanon war

The death toll keeps rising in Lebanon where the Israeli military is conducting massive airstrikes and a ground offensive. A Lebanese civilian was killed and several others were injured in the latest Israeli airstrikes that hit the town of Sidon. Beirut’s southern neighborhood of Dahieh was targeted several times as well. Israeli warplanes also struck the southern cities of Nabatiyeh and Tyre, killing over a dozen people, including paramedics. Nearly 2,200 people have been killed and over 10,000 injured in Lebanon since the start of the Israeli aggression in October last year. The majority of them have been killed in the past few weeks as the regime has intensified its attacks. Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened that Lebanon could face destruction like Gaza.

Israel Lebanon aggression

UN officials have warned about the repetition of Gaza's humanitarian disaster in Lebanon where Israel continues to attack civilians. The UN officials were speaking at a press conference via video call. They also warned that the conflict in Lebanon threatens the country’s domestic food security. That’s because, they say, about 2,000 hectares of agricultural land in southern Lebanon have been destroyed in the past few weeks. The UN officials also said the Israeli military is using the same means to attack Lebanon and Gaza. They called for efforts to prevent the Gaza tragedy from happening in Lebanon.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The US-Israeli genocide goes on unabated in Gaza where hospitals are becoming the focal point of air and artillery attacks. The Israeli military has issued evacuation orders for several hospitals including Kamal Adwan, Indonesian and al-Awda in the northern Gaza Strip. Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling have already targeted areas around the Kamal Adwan Hospital in the city of Beit Lahia. The attack forced many Palestinians to relocate. The Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas has branded the Israeli evacuation orders as a clear violation of international law. The Government Media Office in Gaza has also called on international organizations to intervene to protect the hospitals. More than 42,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the war last October. On Wednesday alone, 22 people were killed in attacks across Gaza.
