Confronting Israeli aggression

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says it has launched a barrage of missiles, targeting an Israeli base near the northern occupied city of Haifa. Hezbollah said, in a statement, that an Israeli Merkava tank was hit as well while it was advancing toward the Maroun forest area in southern Lebanon. The attack inflicted casualties upon the regime’s forces. Earlier, the Lebanese resistance fended off Israeli troops trying to force into the southern Lebanese town of al-Adaisseh. Hezbollah also carried out retaliatory drone strikes, targeting Israeli forces in the occupied Palestinian territories. Hezbollah has repeatedly asserted that its attacks are in response to Israeli brutal air and artillery strikes on Lebanese towns and villages that have caused enormous civilian casualties.

Iran warns Israeli regime

Iran’s foreign minister has met with Syrian President Bashar Al-Asad in Damascus during his official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic. During the meeting Abbas Araghchi hailed the resistance movements in Lebanon and occupied Palestine for their resilience. The top diplomat also called for a coordinated effort to stop Israeli aggressions. For his part, Syria’s President Assad emphasized that resistance against any occupation, aggression and massacre is a legitimate right. He also hailed Iran’s retaliatory attacks against Israel and said the strike gave a strong lesson to the occupying regime. Before meeting President Assad, Iran’s foreign minister held talks with his Syrian counterpart, where he stressed the need for an urgent ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza. Prior to his visit to Syria, Araghchi met with Lebanese officials in Beirut on Friday.

Denouncing Israeli genocide

A pro-Palestine rally has been held in the British capital London, with demonstrators denouncing the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip. Thousands of people took to the streets in London, carrying Palestinian flags and chanting anti-Israel slogans. British protesters urged UK leaders to listen to their people and called for an end to the onslaught of Palestinian people in Gaza. Meanwhile, demonstrators have also taken to the streets of the South African city of Cape Town and the Austrian capital Vienna to express their solidarity with the people of Lebanon and Palestine. More protests are taking place across the world as we are almost at the 1 year anniversary of the Gaza genocide.
