Iraqi resistance fighters have launched a drone strike on a strategic target in the southern part of the Israeli-occupied territories in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese people.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, in a statement published on its Telegram channel, claimed responsibility for the Thursday evening attack.

According to the statement, the strike was carried out with a sophisticated kamikaze drone, which was used for the first time.

It said the operation was conducted in continuation of the struggle against the occupying Israeli regime, in support of Palestinians and the Lebanese nation, and in retaliation for the massacres that the usurping Zionist entity is perpetrating against women, children, and elderly people in the besieged territory as well as the Arab country.

The group noted that it will continue to target and destroy important installations across the occupied lands.

Hezbollah conducts massive attacks on Israeli military positions

In Lebanon, Hezbollah carried out a series of rocket strikes against several Israeli military positions, reaffirming their support for the Palestinian resistance and defense of Lebanon.

Hezbollah said in a brief statement that it fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the illegal settlement of Avivim with a barrage of rockets.

The resistance group also reported targeting the city of Safed on the northern side of the occupied lands with a salvo of rockets.

Another attack was reported in the town of Metula, where Hezbollah fighters launched dozens of Katyusha rockets and many Falaq missiles at strategic sites.

Hezbollah said its members targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers at the Kfar Giladi kibbutz in the Galilee Panhandle region with rockets. At the same time, the Lebanese resistance movement said it targeted the Israeli Sakhnin base for military industries in Haifa Bay with a salvo of rockets.

Also on Thursday, Hezbollah said it fired a barrage of rockets at the city of Tiberias on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee in response to the Israeli bombardment of Lebanese towns, villages and civilians.
