Iran offers condolences over Hezbollah leader's martyrdom, says his path will continue

Iran has expressed condolences over the martyrdom of the secretary general of the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, saying his honorable path will continue.

In a statement on Saturday, Hezbollah confirmed the assassination of its leader in massive Israeli airstrikes targeting residential buildings in southern Beirut on Friday.

In a post on his official X account on Saturday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan’ani said Nasrallah's “honorable” way of resistance will continue.

He added that Nasrallah’s holy goal of liberating al-Quds will be realized, God willing.

Iran’s Vice President for Strategic Affairs Mohammad Javad Zarif says the chaotic plots of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu against the region and the entire world will undoubtedly fail.

In a message on X, Zarif extended his condolences to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the noble Lebanese government and nation and all resistance forces as well as freedom-seeking people across the world over the tragic incident. 

He said resistance against the Israeli regime’s brutality will continue with more power from now on.

The top Iranian official expressed hope that right will emerge victorious over wrong.

Blood of martyrs of resistance will lead to Israel’s destruction: First VP

First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said Iran warns Israeli officials that the blood of the oppressed martyrs of the path of resistance, particularly the Hezbollah chief, will lead to the regime’s destruction.

In a message of condolences over Nasrallah’s assassination, Aref added, “Today is the day of an important test for all in the world, including nations and governments.”

It is important to how world nations and governments will react to Israel’s acts of crimes and genocide, he noted.

The vice president once again reiterated that the Iranian government and nation will stand by the Islamic resistance and expressed confidence that Nasrallah’s path will continue.
