Pezeshkian: Attacks on Beirut once again revealed nature of Israeli regime’s state terrorism

President Masoud Pezeshkian strongly condemns the Israeli regime’s earlier deadly attacks against the Lebanese capital Beirut.

“The Zionist regime’s attacks of today against the Dahiyeh area in Beirut were egregious and unobscurable war crimes that once again revealed the nature of the regime’s state terrorism,” the chief executive said in message on Friday.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli regime targeted residential neighborhoods in Haret Hreik in the area with airstrikes, killing at least eight people and wounding nearly 80 others.

“I voice my sympathy with Lebanon’s people and government and condole with the families of the proud martyrs of this incident,” Pezeshkian added.

“The Islamic Republic’s administration will pursue the Zionists’ recent crime, and will stand by Lebanon’s people and the Axis of Resistance,” he noted.

The attacks came as part of the regime’s escalation against Lebanon that has been targeting the country since October 7, when Tel Aviv launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

The escalation has taken a deadlier turn since Monday, claiming the lives of more than 700 people across the country.

The president considered continuation of the regime’s crimes against the Palestinians and the Lebanese to be an indication of the international community’s failure to stop the regime’s “state terrorism machine.”

The atrocities “proved the regime to be the biggest threat to the regional and international peace and security,” he stated and urged all countries, especially the Muslim ones, to decisively condemn the aggression.
