Yemen’s Ansarallah resistance movement says the latest Israeli aggression against Lebanon opens the door to an all-out war in the West Asia region.

On Friday, Israeli warplanes launched massive airstrikes on the southern suburb of Dahiyeh in Beirut, resulting in loud explosions that reverberated across the city, killing at least eight people and wounding around 80 others.

The fatalities were recovered from the rubble of bombed buildings after the attacks that targeted residential structures in Haret Hreik in the area earlier in the day.

Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV said more than 15 missiles struck the area at the same moment.

Ansarallah said in a statement that targeting the southern suburb, which is crowded with civilians, is unprecedented brutality committed by Israel.

It added that the Israeli enemy would not have persisted in committing crimes without unrestricted Western and American support.

“The weapons used in the recent raids reaffirm that the United States of America is a full partner in the blood of civilians,” the statement said.

It said that the aggression against Palestine and Lebanon is being backed by the United States.

“We renew our solidarity with the Islamic resistance in Lebanon, and affirm our confidence in Hezbollah, its political and military leaders, and its solid incubator,” Ansarallah said in the statement.

“We call on the Arab and Islamic peoples and the free people of humanity for more solidarity to stop the war and aggression against Lebanon and Palestine,” it added.

“The dangerous development in the aggression against Lebanon opens the door to an open and comprehensive war, the result of which will only be devastating to the temporary entity and the war criminals,” Ansarallah warned.

Earlier on Friday,  the Yemeni Armed Forces said its naval units launched their largest-ever attack on United States Navy warships in the Red Sea, demonstrating their solid support for Palestinian and Lebanese nations amid the relentless Israeli aggression and in retaliation for the US-British attacks on the Arab country.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, stated on Friday that the Yemeni military had carried out the operation against three American destroyers as they were heading towards the occupied territories to support the Israeli enemy.

The Yemeni Armed Forces also launched separate strikes on targets in the occupied territories, citing solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese nation enduring relentless Israeli aggression.

Saree noted that Yemeni forces will continue their strikes in support of and in solidarity with Palestinian and Lebanese nations until Israeli brutalities against the Gaza Strip and Lebanon come to an end.

Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7 last year, killing more than 41,500 Palestinians to date.
