Islamic Resistance in Iraq hits Israeli target in occupied Golan Heights with drone
Fighters from Iraqi anti-terror resistance groups have carried out an operation against a strategic position in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights in retaliation for the Tel Aviv regime’s relentless strikes on Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, announced in a statement published on its Telegram channel early on Tuesday that it had launched the attack with an al-Arfad kamikaze drone.
It said the drone strike was carried out in continuation of resistance against the occupying Israeli regime, in support of Palestinians in Gaza, and in retaliation for the massacres that the usurping Zionist entity is perpetrating against unarmed Palestinian civilians.
The coalition noted that it will continue to target and destroy important installations across the occupied lands.
On Sunday, the umbrella group of resistance factions said it targeted several Israeli military targets in the Jordan Valley, using Arfad drones.
The resistance group said most of the drones hit their targets as Israeli defense systems failed to intercept many of them.
Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been launching several attacks on Israeli targets ever since the occupying regime started the genocidal war on Gaza last year in October.
Israel has been waging an atrocious onslaught against the Gaza Strip, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship after Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, on October 7.
At least 41,455 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, and another 95,878 individuals have sustained injuries in Gaza so far. According to estimates, 1.9 million people in the war-ravaged territory are internally displaced – including people displaced up to nine or 10 times.
