Hamas and Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movements vehemently condemn Israel's massacre in the Lebanese capital Beirut, calling the atrocity a “war crime.”

The resistance groups issued the condemnations in separate statements on Friday after Israeli airstrikes claimed the lives of at least 12 people, including five children, and wounded 66 others in a densely-populated area in southern Beirut.

Hamas called the bloodletting a “brutal terrorist aggression,” and a “war crime that require urgent action from the international community.”

It as well condemned the regime’s blatant violation of all humanitarian rules and international laws as well as its encroachment on the Lebanese sovereignty.

The movement said it “affirms that this fascist aggression will not succeed in achieving any of its goals.”

“The resistance will continue on its path until complete liberation and freedom and the elimination of the Zionist project in the region,” Hamas’s statement concluded.

Ansarullah spokesman Mohammed Abdul Salam also lambasted the regime over the aggression, which, he said, necessitated that the people of the region “confront this criminal entity that targets everyone without exception.”

He assured the Lebanese people and resistance of Yemen’s solidarity with them in the face of the “unbridled Israeli arrogance.”

The official finally condemned the United States for its unreserved support for the regime at the expense of regional security, safety, and stability.

The Islamic Jihad, Hamas’s fellow Gaza Strip-based resistance group, meanwhile, said the regime had staged the deadly attacks against Lebanon as means of trying to drag the country into an open war.

The aggression, it added, was also meant to force Hezbollah into stopping the operations that it has been staging against the occupied Palestinian territories since October 7, when the regime began bringing Gaza under a genocidal war.

Syria’s foreign ministry chimed in by condemning the Israeli attacks that, it said, reflected the regime’s “departure from humanity and international legitimacy.”

Damascus warned that such atrocities posed a threat to the region and the world, and strongly condemned the military and political support that was being provided for Tel Aviv by its Western allies.
