Top Yemeni defense official dismisses Netanyahu’s military threats
The Yemeni deputy defense minister has shrugged off Israel’s military threats against the Arab nation after it fired a missile deep into the occupied territories, stressing that Yemen’s Armed Forces are resolute to continue operations against the Tel Aviv regime.
“[Israeli prime minister Benjamin] Netanyahu’s threats will have no impact on Yemen. On the contrary, the threats will cement the Yemeni nation’s determination to continue the path of resistance,” Brigadier General Abdullah bin Amer wrote in a post published on the social media platform X.
He added that those who did not know the Yemeni nation before will now start to get to know more about it, and the passage of time will prove such a fact.
Bin Amer noted that various analyses on the launch of a new hypersonic ballistic missile that flew around 2,000 kilometers from Yemen to the central part of the occupied territories have highlighted Israel's failure to intercept the projectile.
“The missile launch constitutes the biggest challenge that Israel has faced so far. It hastened the Zionist entity’s downfall and shattered the myth of the deterrence that the regime had long been propagating,” the senior Yemeni military figure stated.
On Sunday, Netanyahu threatened that Yemen will pay a “heavy price” after a missile fired by the country’s armed forces landed in the central side of the occupied lands in the early hours of the day.
Yemenis have declared their open support for Palestine’s struggle against the Israeli occupation since the regime launched a devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements carried out surprise Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity.
The Yemeni Armed Forces have said that they won’t stop their attacks until unrelenting Israeli ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.
So far, Israel has killed at least 41,220 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured over 95,400 others.
