The Palestinian Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip says an overnight Israeli airstrike in Gaza City has killed 11 Palestinians, who were all members of a single family, and injured many others, as the occupying regime continues its genocidal war against the besieged territory.

Mahmud Bassal, spokesman for the organization, told AFP news agency on Saturday that the strike which took place at around 1:00 am local time hit a house located near the Shujaiya school, east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City.

“We have recovered the bodies of 11 martyrs, including four children and three women, after an Israeli air strike hit the house of the Bustan family in eastern Gaza City,” he said.

Basal went on to say that the house, where several families had taken refuge, was targeted with a single missile without any prior warning, adding that “rescuers are continuing to search for the missing.”

The spokesman further noted that Israeli forces have carried out similar strikes in some other parts of Gaza overnight, killing at least 10 Palestinians.

Five people were killed in northwestern Gaza City when an air strike hit a group of people near Dar al-Arqam school, Bassal said.

He added that three others were killed in an Israeli strike in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis in the south of Gaza Strip, where tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians have sought refuge

Israel unleashed its brutal war on Gaza on October 7 last year after the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against the usurping entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Since the start of the aggression, the Tel Aviv regime has killed 41,182 Palestinians and injured nearly 95,280 others, with most of the victims being women and children.
