The Israeli military copter crashes in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, leaving a number of occupation forces dead.

An Israeli military helicopter has crashed in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, leaving a number of  occupation forces dead or injured, amid the regime’s nearly year-old gory aggression on the besieged Palestinian territory.

Initial reports by Israeli media said five soldiers were killed and 10 others injured following the chopper crash on Wednesday, with four of them in critical condition.

The reports claimed that the helicopter belonged to Unit 669 of the Israeli occupation army’s air force and crashed due to a "technical malfunction.”

The regime’s officials have yet to comment on the incident. Other reports put the number of dead at three and the injured at eight.

The deadly incident occurred against the backdrop of Israel's month-long genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has taken a heavy toll on the besieged territory.

Israel waged its genocidal war against on Gaza, targeting hospitals, residences, and houses of worship, after Palestinian resistance groups launched a surprise attack, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm, against the usurping regime on October 7 last year.

More than 41,000 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children. Upwards of 94,920 individuals have sustained injuries as well.
