US-Israeli genocide in Gaza
With the US-Israeli genocidal war nearing its 12th month, the regime’s air and drone strikes continue to claim more innocent Palestinian lives. In one of its latest attacks, Israeli airstrikes hit the vicinity of the al-Ahly Hospital in Gaza City, killing two civilians and injuring several others. Two more airstrikes in other parts of the city also targeted residential areas and took the lives of several more Gazans. In the north, IOF warplanes targeted a house in Jabalia, killing at least three citizens. In the south, two civilians were killed after an Israeli drone hit a group of individuals in Rafah. According to local authorities, Israeli forces killed nearly 90 Gazans in a single day. This brings the total number of Gazans killed since last October up to nearly 40,700 with more than 94,000 others also injured.
Israel West Bank incursion
There seems to be no end to Israeli aggression in the occupied West Bank. The occupation forces have detained several citizens in the Jenin refugee camp and used them as human shields. Local sources reported that the Israeli military conducted a wide-scale detention operation in Jenin, involving house raids and searches. Palestinian officials said the regime prevented the delivery of water into Jenin hospital where Palestinians wounded are being treated. The hospital administrator warned that they might face a halt in their services if the blockade continues. The hospital has been struggling with severe water shortage for four days now because of the Israeli regime’s destruction of the main water supply line.
Anti-Netanyahu protests
The situation in Tel Aviv seems to get worse by the week. This Saturday’s protest ended up in scuffles between the regime forces and protesters. Thousands had taken to the streets to voice their anger against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet. Police also arrested a number of protesters. Demonstrators demanded a deal with Hamas that would see the release of the Israeli captives in Gaza and also called for new elections. Cease-fire talks appear to be reaching nowhere since the Israeli regime has changed the conditions of a proposal to which Hamas had agreed to. Many settlers are blaming Netanyahu for the lack of progress in reaching a deal and are accusing him of solely wanting to maintain his authority.
