Lebanon's resistance movement Hezbollah says it has conducted a drone strike on an Israeli military base in the northern part of the occupied territories, as tensions continue to escalate between the two sides across the border.

In a message on Telegram on Saturday, Hezbollah said it had “accurately” targeted the positions of Israeli soldiers stationed at the “Western Brigade” headquarters near Ya'ara settlement.

It also stressed that the drone strike came in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and their resistance, as well as in response to the Israel regime’s attacks on residential buildings in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah further noted that it had carried out a separate attack, targeting the Misgav Am base in the Upper Galilee region “with appropriate weapons,” hitting it directly.

The resistance group also said it had targeted a position of Israeli soldiers in the Hadab Yaroun site with artillery shells, hitting it directly.

Hezbollah also claimed several other attacks on targets in the northern part of occupied territories earlier in the day, some of which were confirmed by the Israeli military.

The Israeli regime has been conducting near-daily attacks against southern Lebanon since October 7, when it launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has been responding with strikes aimed both at retaliating against the regime and supporting the war-hit Gazans.

The regime, which waged wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006, has repeatedly threatened to expand its attacks into another wholesale military onslaught against the country.

Hezbollah has vowed to defend the Lebanese soil with all its resources.
