Protesters say that the Democrats' efforts to censor the issue of Gaza make their demonstrations even more important.
Outgoing President Joe Biden was dubbed "Genocide Joe" for his arming of Israel's war machine, but protesters have nicknamed his likely successor Kamala Harris "Killer Kamala" for presiding over 40,000 deaths in Gaza in her role as Vice President.
The Democratic Party will have four days to explain how the selection of Harris as their nominee is democratic when they threw out millions of primary votes for Biden and imposed Harris without any voter input.
I would say that they're just like the Republican Party, that they get their money and their commands from the corporate power, etc.
I mean, there's, there's not much of a difference between the two, aside from little social issues, some they win, some they don't.
So it's just the system is made so that we are on a total war path.

Harris has so far refused to grant a single interview or hold a press conference to be questioned about any of her policy positions. She is expected to maintain unconditional support for Israel despite global disapproval and unprecedented domestic rejection of Zionism.
We are funding a genocide and I don't appreciate being taken advantage of [in] that way, and it's not who I am, and to have this criminality going on in the name of the United States doesn't work.

With many wondering if there would be a repeat of the historic public dissent and state violence of the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, a massive police presence was deployed and arrests were made.
