Iranian youth shone with four medals at the first International Nuclear Science Olympiad (INSO) held in New Clark City, Philippines.
The Iranian students won one silver medal and three bronze medals at the event, which took place from August 1 to August 6.
Seyed Abolfazl Mahdaei secured the silver medal, while Seyed Mohammad Sajadiyan, Shayan Rezazadeh, and Ayda Bina each won bronze medals.
The outstanding achievements of Iranian students in international Olympiads have positioned the country among the top five nations in the world.
“The educational system of other countries is excellent, yet Iran is among the top 5 countries in the world in the international Olympiads," Elham Yavari, the head of the National Organization for the Development of Brilliant Talents (SAMPAD) was quoted as saying by the YJC news agency.

Ramtin Moradi Mazhar won the gold medal, while Alborz Rezaei, Amirkia Salimi, and Mohammad-Yasin Salehi Marzijarani all bagged silver medals.

IOAA is an annual event for students who perform very well academically around the world.
Established in Thailand in the year 2006, it was an initiative by five countries including Thailand, Indonesia, Iran, China, and Poland.
Iranian students also won six medals, ranking 11th at the 64th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), which was held in Japan from July 2 to 13, 2023.
