Another Israeli trooper dies, several injured in Gaza; death toll at 329
Another Israeli trooper has died of the injuries he had sustained more than a week ago in the war-torn Gaza Strip, where the regime has been waging a genocidal war for the past 10 months.
The Israeli military announced the development on Sunday, identifying the fatality as Sgt. Yonatan Aharon Greenblatt of the Givati Brigade’s Shaked Battalion.
The 21-year-old had been wounded in Gaza on July 20, it noted.
His death took the overall number of the Israeli forces killed since the onset of the war on October 7, 2023 to 329, Israeli military data showed.
The military said six others among its forces had also been wounded throughout the coastal sliver over the past 24 hours.
The regime began the brutal military onslaught in response to al-Aqsa Storm, a retaliatory operation staged against the occupying entity by Gaza’s resistance movements.
The Israeli onslaught has so far claimed the lives of at least 39,324 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
The figures exclude the tens of thousands of dead, who are believed to be buried in the bombed-out ruins of buildings.
Another 90,830 others have also been injured as a result of the war.
In January, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the United Nation’s top court, ordered the regime to take measures to prevent genocide in Gaza.
And in June, the UN Security Council passed a resolution ordering implementation of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The regime, however, has not only been acting in complete disregard for the international calls, but also stands accused of sabotaging talks aimed at negotiating a truce.
