US-Israeli Gaza genocide

More than nine months into Israel’s relentless onslaught on Gaza, the regime keeps pummeling the devastated territory, killing more innocent women and children. The southern city of Khan Yunis continues to be a focal point for the regime’s latest attacks. At least 11 civilians, including a woman, were killed and many more injured by Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire in several areas of Khan Yunis. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said one of its ambulances was targeted while evacuating the injured people. Three civilians were killed in Rafah, also in southern Gaza. In the north, several fatalities were reported in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. Israeli airstrikes and artillery fire also targeted the Nuseirat and Bureij refugee camps in central Gaza. At least 30 Palestinians were killed and 146 others injured in a single day. The death toll from the regime’s genocide is nearing 39,180, with over 90,400 others injured.

Palestinian prisoners plight

Palestinian abductees recently released from Israeli jails say they have endured all sorts of physical and mental torture. Two Palestinian abductees said they were subjected to severe torture, including continuous beatings, electric shocks, and round-the-clock sleep deprivation. They said abductees in Israeli jails are shackled, handcuffed and blindfolded, and are even prevented from raising their heads. They are also crammed into narrow cells that lack the basic necessities of life. The new testimonies come as Israel has ramped up abduction of Palestinians across the Palestinian territories after its genocidal war started in Gaza. Since then, the regime’s forces have detained hundreds of civilians. Many Palestinian abductees have also died in Israeli jails since last October due to torture and harsh conditions.

Hamburg Islamic Center raid

Iran's acting foreign minister has condemned the recent raids by Germany’s police on the Hamburg Islamic center and its affiliated sites. Ali Bagheri Kani described the move as a grave violation of fundamental rights of freedom of religion and thought. He said Germany’s unjustified and unwarranted measure was just a gift to extremists, radical elements and supporters of terrorism. Bagheri Kani held the German government responsible for all the consequences of this measure. He added that Israel moved fast to welcome Germany’s action as the terrorist apartheid regime uses every opportunity to distract the world’s public opinion from its genocide of Palestinians. On Wednesday, German police stormed 53 properties of the Hamburg Islamic center under the pretext that they supported Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement. The move came in the wake of a similar crackdown last November, when German authorities raided 55 properties associated with the same center.
