At least 539 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes on facilities run by the UN relief agency for Palestine refugees sheltering the displaced across the Gaza Strip since early October.

UNRWA said at least 1,708 people have also been wounded in the facilities during that period.

The number provided by the agency only runs through mid-July, so it does not include Israel’s killing of at least 23 displaced Palestinians at al-Razi School in central Gaza on Tuesday.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 73 people were also wounded.

The school had been turned into a center for sheltering the displaced since Israel started its barbarous campaign in Gaza in early October.

Ever since such facilities have become home to hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians fleeing the Israeli war machine.

UNRWA said virtually 70% of its schools in Gaza have been attacked by Israel.
