US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israel presses ahead with its air and ground offensive in Gaza, claiming the lives of more civilians in the blockaded territory. Five people lost their lives after an Israeli air raid hit a home in the central city of Deir al-Balah. A number of other Palestinians were killed in air and artillery strikes on different areas, including flashpoint Gaza City. Sixty bodies were also recovered from under the rubble after the regime’s forces withdrew from two districts of the city. The Gaza government media office says the Israeli military has carried out a planned massacre in Gaza City. Israel launched its genocidal war on October 7. Over 38, 300 Palestinians have been killed so far.

Israel's West Bank incursion

Israeli occupation forces have abducted at least four Palestinians in the latest raids on the occupied West Bank. Three Palestinians were detained during a raid on the city of Tulkarm. One person was also arrested following an attack on a house in the town of Azzun, east of the city of Qalqilya. Local sources say that people keep resisting regime forces, with some reports suggesting that troops were forced to retreat from parts of Tulkarm. Since the beginning of the Gaza war, over 550 Palestinians have been killed and more than nine thousand others have been arrested during Israeli raids across the occupied territories.

Biden speech interrupted

A protester interrupts US President Joe Biden’s campaign speech by chanting slogans in favor of Palestine. Biden was speaking in the city of Detroit when the protester interrupted the event by shouting ‘Free Free Palestine’. Biden’s supporters tried to overcome the demonstrator by chanting campaign slogans. Biden had previously faced anti-war protesters interrupting his speeches. This time Biden had a different tone, saying he understands the protester and that the war must end. Earlier in January, anti-war protesters interrupted the US president more than a dozen times at a campaign rally. American university campuses have been the scenes of large protests in recent months in solidarity with Palestinians and in opposition to Israel's genocidal war on Gaza.
