Iran leader Hajj message

The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution has issued a message on the occasion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia. Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says Hajj rituals are a source of reassurance and confidence for Muslims while they cause fears among enemies and ill-wishers. He has also called on Muslims to support Palestinians amid the genocide in Gaza.

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza 

More than eight months into the genocidal onslaught on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli regime continues to pound the blockaded Palestinian territory with air and artillery strikes. In one of the latest attacks, the regime’s warplanes targeted residential buildings in central Gaza, leaving nearly 20 Palestinians dead and several others injured. Israeli artillery also shelled a number of neighborhoods across Gaza, causing an unknown number of fatalities. In Rafah, which has become a focal point of regime’s attacks over the past several weeks, the Israeli military blew up several buildings causing a massive destruction there. The regime’s aggression against Gaza began in early October. Since then, nearly 37,300 Palestinians have been killed and over 85,000 others injured.

Hamid Nouri released

Former Iranian judiciary official, Hamid Nouri who was illegally incarcerated in Sweden has been released from prison. Nouri arrived in Tehran a few hours after his release and was greeted by his family and Iranian officials. Iran’s foreign ministry in a statement says he was arrested due to the plots of the Zionist regime and the MEK terrorists. It says his release is the result of continuous political, legal and consular efforts of diplomatic system. Meanwhile, Tehran has released two Swedish nationals who had been in prison in Iran. Hamid Nouri was arrested immediately upon his arrival at the Stockholm Airport in 2019. Later in July 2022, a Swedish court sentenced him to life imprisonment. The court, which was described by Iranian officials as illegal, convicted Nouri of so-called war crimes and crimes against humanity, based on allegations leveled by the MEK terrorists. Nouri himself has vehemently denied the charges brought against him, calling them fabricated.
