President Raeisi funeral 

Millions of Iranians have thronged the streets of the capital Tehran to attend the funeral for President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions who lost their lives in a copter crash. Mourners headed to the University of Tehran to bid farewell to President Raeisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and their companions The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei led the prayers over the bodies of the late president and his entourage. After the prayers, the funeral procession moved from the University to the iconic Azadi Square. On Tuesday, hundreds of thousands of people attended funeral and commemoration ceremonies in the holy city of Qom and the northwestern city of Tabriz. President Raeisi will be laid to rest in the mausoleum of Imam Reza, the eight Shia Imam in the holy city of Mashhad on Thursday. 

Tribute to martyred president 

Heads of state and senior officials from scores of countries across the world have paid tribute to President Ebrahim Raeisi and his companions, who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash on Sunday. High-ranking dignitaries from at least 60 countries participated in the ceremony, which was held in the Iranian capital, Tehran. The ceremony came hours after millions of people took part in a funeral procession in the capital. Most regional countries have expressed grief over the martyrdom of President Raeisi and his entourage, including Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian. Leaders and governments from across Asia, Africa, and Europe have mourned the demise of the Iranian president, with many of them declaring days of national mourning. 

US-Israeli genocide in Gaza 

Israeli forces have killed at least eleven Palestinians in two days of violent raid on the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, which started on Tuesday. The Palestinian health ministry in Ramallah says four children are among those killed. It added that over two dozen people have been also wounded. Explosions and gunfire have also been heard in Jenin since the raid began. The Israeli army routinely attacks Palestinian homes in Jenin and other cities across the West Bank, accusing resistance fighters of being involved in anti-regime operations. Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, condemned the latest Israel raid as a conclusive evidence of the regime’s criminal mentality. According to Palestinian officials, Israeli forces and settlers have killed over 500 Palestinians in the West Bank since the regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip began early last October.
