Persian Gulf Day
The Iranian foreign minister says the security of the Persian Gulf hinges on collective cooperation and synergy among neighboring states. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remark in an interview marking the National Persian Gulf day. Reaffirming the pivotal regional and geopolitical importance of the inland sea, Amir-Abdollahian added safeguarding the strategic waterway is a complex issue that requires coordinated action by all regional countries. Meantime, the commander of the Iranian Navy said, today the Persian Gulf is the safest maritime point in the world, and a symbol of Iran’s authority. Rear Admiral Shahram Irani asserted that Iran will escort its vessels wherever they feel threatened. Meanwhile, Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri also echoed Iran’s commitment to ensuring security in both the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. He accused Western powers of disrupting maritime security through their illegitimate presence in the region that's merely aimed at arms sales.
US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The regime’s latest aerial bombings killed nearly two-dozen Palestinians and injured dozens more in the southern city of Rafah. Israeli jets also hit residential buildings in two Gaza neighborhoods, killing several Palestinians, including women and children. Meanwhile, intense fighting is also underway between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces near the al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. Gaza ceasefire talks
A delegation of senior Hamas officials is set to join the ceasefire talks in Egypt amid a looming ground invasion of Rafah by Israeli occupation forces. The Palestinian delegation, led by Hamas deputy head Khalil al-Haya, is expected to submit the movement’s response to the latest Israeli proposal. Hamas insists on the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, the unrestricted return of displaced Palestinians and the flow of more humanitarian aid. The movement would reject any deal that does not include an end to the Israeli aggression. The Israeli proposal reportedly seeks the release of nearly 130 captives and Quote “restoration of sustainable calm.” Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken is in Saudi Arabia on the first leg of his Middle East tour. He is hopeful that a ceasefire will be reached soon. Also speaking in Riyadh, the British foreign secretary, David Cameron, hopes Hamas will accept the Israeli offer of a 40-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of its Captives.
