Feb. 8: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel’s genocidal military campaign in Gaza, which has killed almost 28,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Thursday, February 8, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Targeted an Israeli military Merkava-4 tank with a Yassin-105 rocket near the industrial intersection in Gaza City followed by clashes, resulting in Israeli casualties.
  • Eliminated an Israeli military sniper near the Aviation Junction in Gaza City.

Mujahideen Brigades' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Marking the 24th anniversary of the group's founding, bombarded Israeli military sites, command centers and illegal settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip.
  • Targeted Sderot, Nahal Oz, Gaza Division command site in Ra'im,  headquarters and command centers southwest and southeast of Gaza City, Sufa site, Tzalim HQ east of Rafah, Kissufim, Amitai site (southern brigade of Gaza Division), Yaftah military site of Gaza Division, Sa'ad, kibbutz Alumim, kibbutz Be'eri, Orhanir, kibbutz Karmia, kibbutz Yad Mordechai, and more.
  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli forces in western Gaza City with appropriate weapons.
  • Bombarded the Israeli-occupied city of Ashdod with several S-40 rockets.

Al-Quds Brigades' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Targeted a gathering of Israeli regime soldiers inside tents east of the central Gaza Strip with guided 107 rockets.
  • Downed an Israeli military quadcopter that was carrying out spying missions in the central Gaza Strip.
  • Engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces and their vehicles using machine guns and anti-tank missiles in Khan Younis city. 
  • Bombarded Israeli military sites and illegal settlements with a barrage of rockets.
  • Targeted an Israeli military force holed up in a residential apartment west of Khan Younis city with a guided rocket.
  • Targeted an Israeli military vehicle with a Tandem shell, setting it on fire.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli regime forces in Batn Al-Sameen and Al-Amal neighborhoods and launched an RPG on one of the Israeli army's vehicles, destroying it. 

Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Targeted positions and gatherings of Israeli military east of Gaza and Jabalia with a barrage of rockets and heavy-caliber mortar shells.

Al-Asifah Forces' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in the industrial areas, universities and Al-Rimal axes west of Gaza. 

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades' operations on Feb. 8:

  • Engaged in clashes with Israeli soldiers and their vehicles using machine guns and RPGs in the center and south of Khan Younis city.
  • Engaged in intense battles with Israeli soldiers and their vehicles using appropriate weapons in the western axis of Gaza City.

Hezbollah's operations on Feb. 8:

Eastern sector:

  • At around 8:35 local time, the headquarters of the 769th Eastern Brigade of the 91st Galilee Division was targeted in the Kiryat Shmona barracks with appropriate weapons.
  • At around 12:20 local time, the Maale Golan Barracks was targeted with two Falaq missiles.
  • At around 13:40 local time, the radar site in Shebaa was targeted.
  • At around 14:10 local time, Israeli soldiers in Metulla were targeted with appropriate weapons.
  • At around 16:18 local time, Al-Zaoura’s shelter was targeted with missiles.

Western sector:

  • At around 8:35 local time, the Beranit Barracks was targeted with missiles.
  • At around 16:35 local time, the Barkat Risha site was targeted with two Burkan missiles.
  • At around 19:30 local time, Meron Air Base was targeted with Falaq missiles.
  • At around 23:00 local time, the headquarters of the 3rd Infantry Brigade at Ain Zeitim base was targeted with a barrage of Katyusha rockets.
