Feb. 2: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against Israel and its Western backers amid the regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has killed more than 27,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on Friday, February 2, are as follows:

Al-Qassam Brigades’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Targeted an armored personnel carrier (APC) in the neighborhood west of Khan Younis city, southern Gaza.
• Targeted a Merkava tank with Yassin-105 shells, which led it to catch fire in the Jora al-Aqad area west of Khan Younis city.
• Destroyed an Israeli armored personnel carrier (APC) with Yassin-105 shells in the Gaza City axis.
• Engaged in clashes with Israeli forces and eliminated 15 regime soldiers at a point-blank range west of Gaza City.
• Shelled a gathering of invading Israeli soldiers in the west of Gaza City with mortars.
• Targeted and destroyed three Merkava tanks in a complex ambush with Yassin-105 shells and “Shoav” improvised explosive devices north of Gaza City.

Al-Quds Brigades’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Shelled the Israeli military site of “Fajah” in a joint operation with the Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades using 107mm rockets.
• Targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles west of Khan Younis city in southern Gaza with 60mm mortars.
• Targeted an Israeli contingent of 10 soldiers with a TPG rocket, resulting in casualties, in the neighborhood west of Khan Younis city.

Al-Aqsa Brigades’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Targeted and destroyed Merkava-3 tank with an anti-armor rocket on the southwestern axis of Gaza.
• Shelled an Israeli military tank parked near Street 10, southwest of Gaza, with a barrage of short-range rockets.
• Targeted and destroyed a D9-bulldozer with an advanced anti-armor rocket on the western axis of Khan Younis city.
• Launched a barrage of 107mm rockets at Israeli military positions east of Maghazi.

Martyr Omar Al-Qasim Forces’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Targeted gatherings of Israeli soldiers behind dirt berm with several mortars east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip. 
• Launched a volley of mortars at a gathering of Israeli military vehicles at Kissufim military site.

Al-Asifah Forces’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Targeted two Merkava tanks and a D9-military bulldozer with RPGs on the axis southwest of Khan Younis city.

Mujahideen Brigades’ operations on Feb. 2:

• Shelled gatherings of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the axis west of Gaza City with short-range rocket barrages.
• Targeted a Merkava tank with an anti-tank rocket in the vicinity of the Soussi Tower in Gaza City.
• Targeted the positions and deployment of Israeli soldiers southwest of Gaza City with mortars.

Hezbollah operations on Feb. 2:

Eastern sector:

• At around 15:50 local time, the Ruwaisat al-Alam site was targeted with missiles.
• At around 16:40 local time, a deployment of Israeli enemy soldiers was targeted in the vicinity of the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site.

Western sector:

• At around 17:20 local time, a building in the Avivim settlement was targeted with appropriate weapons and it was directly hit.

Yemeni military’s operation on Feb. 2:

• Carried out a military operation against specific Israeli targets in [Eilat], Umm al-Rashrash, south of occupied Palestine, with several ballistic missiles.
• The Yemeni military reiterates its commitment to carry out its “religious, moral, and humanitarian duties towards the oppressed Palestinian people in response to the calls of our free Yemeni people and all free people in our Arab and Islamic nations”, the statement noted.
