Crisis point

With all hospitals in the north now out of service and others surrounded by Israeli forces, the situation in Gaza is beyond dire.

An EU foreign ministers meeting in Brussels has yielded very little except platitudes. An extraordinary session in Saudi Arabia attended by regional leaders discussing the Gazan crisis simply highlighted the differences in approach between those who pay lip service to the Palestinians and the region’s true allies. With the death toll now over 11,000 and climbing the lack of a ceasefire has not gone unnoticed by a public who is now attempting to hold their leaders to account. Have we gone past crisis point, past the point of no return for the Palestinian situation? The attack on those marching for a ceasefire has already cost Britain’s Home Office minister her job but Suella Braverman’s position pushing the Israeli line in the UK has not been extinguished, merely passed to a new face. What next for the pro-Palestine line in Britain and the west.
