Hundreds of American Jews have held a gathering outside the White House in the United States' capital city of Washington DC to show their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
"This moment is crystal clear, we are seeing unbelievable human suffering and loss of life.... My heart breaks, I cannot bear what is happening to the people in Gaza right now," Meghan, a therapist from Michigan, told AFP.
Rabbi Miriam Grossman said she believes "the way out is not more death" as she joined other people at the rally hosted by the Jewish organization, IfNotNow, to demand that President Joe Biden call for a ceasefire.
"It is an atrocity what is happening, and we refuse to let our grief be used as a weapon," she explained.
