People from different religious and ethnic backgrounds have taken to the streets all across the globe to express their support for the Palestinian people.
The worldwide rallies mark the international Quds Day which was established by the late founder of Iran’s Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in 1979. It aims to maintain and raise awareness about the plight of the Palestinian people and their struggle against the Israeli regime. This year’s Quds day comes amid heightened tensions in the occupied territories and escalating violence by the Israeli forces against Palestinians.
