Iranians have held mass rallies in the capital Tehran to mark the anniversary of International Quds Day. Some participants carried flags and held up signs in support of Palestine, while others chanted anti-Israel and anti-US slogans. They expressed solidarity with Palestinians striving to liberate their ancestral homeland from Israeli occupation.

In most countries, including Iran, the event takes place on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan every year. It’s a symbol of unity as well as solidarity with the oppressed and resilient people of Palestine.

This year’s rallies come amid simmering tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories and attacks on worshippers in the al-Aqsa Mosque. However, demonstrators in Tehran said Israel is on the verge of destruction as it is facing growing resistance from Palestinians.

Demonstrators in Tehran also demanded the liberation of Palestine and called on countries across the world to boycott the Israeli regime.

Iranians once again showed their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. By taking to the streets every year, they let Palestinians know that they are not alone in their fight against the occupiers of their lands.
