Iran’s exports to African countries during the first five months of the current Iranian year increased by 40% compared with the same period last year.

As Africa’s rises to take its rightful place in the global economy, the continent has seen a rise in demand for energy, technology and consumer goods. African officials believe Iran has great potential to partner with the continent in trade and investment.

This week we are focusing on the rapidly increasing trade between Iran and Africa over the past one year and the future prospects of growth. In the studio we have a special guest from the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran who will give us his insight on this subject.

In the second part of our program we are looking into reports that Western industrialized countries are increasingly using Africa as a dumpsite ignoring objections by the people and environmentalists.
