Iran at SCO summit: Shift away from West
Irans President Ebrhaim Raeisi and a high ranking delegation have attended the SCO Summit in Uzbekistan. In attendance are the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Chinese President XI Xinping. The focus of Irans trip is to integrate with the SCO members, which now as an official member, can increase trade with them. But the grouping itself is representative of the continuing shift towards a trade world free of Western dominance and influence, in particular the US.
