African nations and Africans in the Diaspora are reviving their efforts to obtain reparations from colonial powers involved in the evil trans-Atlantic slave trade and other colonial-era atrocities committed centuries ago.
In pursuit of this objective, early August, a Reparations and Racial Healing Summit was held in Ghana. This weeks edition is focusing on the recent summit on reparations and racial healing held in Accra, Ghana. The meeting discussed and reflected on the legacies of the transatlantic slave trade, Slavery in America, colonialism and strategies for reparations and racial healing. The second segment of our show today is on latest developments regarding Britains controversial plan to forcibly send asylum seekers to Rwanda.
