Asian Boys' U18 Volleyball Championship: Iran beats Thailand to set up India clash in semi
To Volleyball news, Team Iran have reached the semifinals of the Asian Boys' Under 18 Championship, with a 3-sets-to-1 win, over Thailand.
After an unexpected 26-24 loss in the first set, The Iranians showed their true colors in the next 3 sets, by dismantling Thailand 25-13, 25-18 and 25-15, to book themselves a last-4 clash against India, on Sunday.
Mohammad Reza Al-Jalil topped the scoring for Iran with 24 points. With the win, Team Iran have also qualified for the 2023 Volleyball Boys' Under 19 World Championship, as one of the 4 Asian representatives.
