International talent competition in Iran sees contestants from 14 countries

They make people laugh, impersonate voices, or sing. This is a stage to showcase talent.

The 5th International Stage Stars Festival held in Iran's northwestern Rafsanjan city brought together performers from 14 countries, including Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, India, and Turkey to go on stage and perform.

The contest has four categories: singing, stand-up comedy, show hosting, and sound impression.

Contestants say the stage provides a shortcut to their success.

The jury comprises top Iranian actors, TV presenters, and voice artists. They say only natural talents will be picked for the top prize.

All contestants, even those from outside Iran, are required to perform in Persian. However, organizers plan to include other languages in the upcoming editions of the festival.

The top performers from each category win the golden mic plus a cash prize.

Organizers say the contest seeks to scout for those who really have a knack for stage performances and bring them to limelight So to those who nab the golden mic here, this stage is a springboard toward their ambitions.
