Manchester City have battled back from two goals down and missed a late penalty to keep the Premier League title race alive after a rip-roaring 2-2 draw at West Ham United.
City's grip on the Premier League title was looking distinctly shaky at the break as the Hammers led, thanks to Jarrod Bowen's well-taken double.
But Jack Grealish struck for the visitors 4 minutes after the restart and Vladimir Coufal headed a Riyad Mahrez delivery into his own net to haul City level and keep their title destiny in their hands. Pep Guardiola’s side even had a chance to win it 5 minutes from time, when they were awarded a spot-kick, but Mahrez blew the opportunity. Nevertheless, a victory over Aston Villa next weekend will see them retain the EPL title, no matter what happens in Liverpool’s last 2 games.
