Having lost 3 times to the Raptors in the regular season, Philadelphia were looking for a first home win and managed to do it in style. The Sixers cruised from the opening tip to take a 69-51 lead at half time and outscored Toronto in the next 2 quarters to take the lead in the series.
Tyrese Maxey poured in a post-season career-high 38 points for Philadelphia while Pascal Siakam paced Toronto with 24 points. In the other games, the Wolves beat the Grizzlies 130-117 in Memphis and the Warriors overcame the Nuggets 123-107.
