Muslim US lawmakers have condemned Israeli forces’ violent storming of the Al Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

Israeli forces stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Old City of al-Quds on Friday, injuring more than 150 worshipers as Tel Aviv stepped-up violence against Palestinian Muslim s during the fasting month of Ramadan.

Democratic Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib posted tweets on Friday condemning the horrific act.

Omar denounced the Israeli forces' “horrific” violence, describing the holy month of Ramadan as “a time of peace and reflection” for Muslim worshipers.

She said the Israeli forces' attack on the Palestinian worshipers was “simply cruel and wrong”.

Omar pointed to the sacredness of the al-Aqsa Mosque for all the Muslims around the world, and called for the global community's collective denouncement of “this brutality.”

Tlaib, who is Palestinian, posted a tweet similar to Omar’s, insisting that Israeli forces' attack against the Palestinian worshipers using bullets, sound grenades, and tear gas was “simply wrong + cruel.”

She called on Americans not to remain quiet and protest against the attack on the worshipers.

Tlaib said to remain silent against the Israeli regime's violence and violation of human rights would further embolden the brutal Israeli forces.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces' violence in al-Aqsa Mosque met with international condemnation across the Muslim world.

In solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine, Muslims worldwide staged mass rallies to condemn Israeli atrocities.

In the meantime, the Israeli regime has stepped up on the number of atrocious acts of violence and brutality against Palestinians across the occupied territories since the beginning of Ramadan.

Palestinians, for their part, put up stronger resistance across the occupied lands to counter the Israeli aggression.

They believe their resistance exposes the brutality of the Tel Aviv regime.
