Fire incident reported at a military base in west Iran; no casualties

A fire incident has been reported at a military base near the city of Kermanshah in western Iran.

The fire that broke out in the wee hours of Monday morning was swiftly put out by firefighters, according to reports.

There were no reports of casualties or major damage in the incident.

Local media said the incident took place in a stockroom where motor oil and other flammable materials were stored in one of the facilities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Mahidasht region of Kermanshah province.

The cause of the incident is under investigation and a team has been dispatched to the area, according to reports.

Kermanshah is the capital city of Kermanshah province located 525 kilometres from the capital city Tehran in western part of Iran.
