Runaway leaders Bayern Munich have been brought down to earth as the defending champions suffered a 4-2 loss at Bochum.
Just as usual Robert Lewandowski gave the Bavarians a flying start with his 25th goal of the season. But the game was quickly turned on its head. First Christopher Antwi-Adjei curled-home to level the score in the 14th minute.
Jurgen Locadia then put the hosts in front by converting a 38th minute spot-kick. Two minutes later Cristian Gamboa arrowed an unstoppable shot into the top corner to make it 3-1. And just a minute before the break, Gerrit Holtmann killed off the contest, as he lifted the ball over the keeper and into the net.
Lewandowski reduced the gap with a spectacular half-volley 15 minutes from time. But the damage had already been done and Bochum held on for an unforgettable victory.
