Cambridge University students condemn 'racist' Israel envoy

Students and activists gathered outside England’s Cambridge University on Tuesday to voice their anger after Israel’s ambassador to Britain, Tzipi Hotovely, was invited to debate at the prestigious Cambridge Union debate hall.

Despite the police presence, activists made noise, lit flares and eventually blocked the car park entrance, disrupting the ambassadors ability to leave.

Back in November 2021, Hotovely was similarly met with protests after speaking at an event at the London School of Economics.

Home Secretary Priti Patel was among several pro-Israel MPs who rushed to condemn the incident, despite police saying it was not under investigation.

As she left Cambridge, again, she was booed and jeered. Leaving some wondering if she’ll again try to accuse students of anti-Semitism – despite the fact Jews, as well as, Muslim and Christians were among the demonstrators.
