Over the latest news from the NBA, the New Orleans Pelicans have narrowly won the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 116 to 112.
The Bucks who were without Giannis Antetokounmpo, opened up a 7-point lead in the opener, but the hosts came from behind and took the 2nd quarter 31-21 which led to their 52-49 advantage at the intermission.
However, the defending champions did not give up and managed to level the score at 77-apiece at the end of 3rd quarter. It was a close contest in the final, as both teams shared the spoils after a 26-all draw.
The game went to overtime where the Pelicans managed to take it 13-9 as they collected their 2nd consecutive win. Devonte Graham tallied 26 points for New Orleans while Jure Holiday bagged 40 points for Milwaukee in the losing effort.
Meanwhile, on Friday night at the TD Garden in Boston, the Golden State Warriors edged past the Celtics 111 to 107. The Warriors went to their locker room with a 14 point margin as they finished the 1st half 68-54.
But, the hosts improved after the break and cut the gap to a single point at the end of the 3rd quarter. The visitors, then, found their rhythm in the final by taking it 29-26 that led to their 4 points overall victory.
The Warriors will travel to Toronto on Saturday to line up against the Raptors, while the Celtics will welcome the New York Knicks.
