NBA: OKC 95-116 LA Lakers

Over the NBA, the visiting Los Angeles Lakers have joined the top 6 in the Western Conference after hammering the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-95.

The visitors thrashed the OKC 32-18 in the opener, before taking the 2nd quarter with a 5-point margin as they went to their locker room with a 64 to 45 advantage. The 2019 champions, then, extended their lead to 25 points by taking the 3rd .

The thunders, however, did not give up and won the final quarter but the gap was too large and the Lakers registered their 21-point overall victory. NBA superstar, LeBron James was the best player of the game as he had 33 points for the Lakers.

Meanwhile on Friday night in Atlanta and in a duel between Kevin Durant and Trae Young, Eastern Conference Leaders the Brooklyn Nets edged past the Hawks 113 to 105.

The Hawks took a shocking 55-52 advantage at the intermission. But, Brooklyn turned the tide after the break, winning the next 2 quarters to pocket their 18th victory of the season. The Nets will fly to Detroit to line up against the Pistons on Sunday, while the Hawks will entertain the Houston Rockets on Monday.
